This isn't just a website. This is SIS.

You're never alone with SIS.

We're here for you when you need us. Always in your pocket, always on hand, walking with you through every step of your journey.

We walk with you

Not a one-off check. SIS stays with you from the first strange symptom to the appointment where someone finally listens, and every step in between.

We believe you

Built by a woman who spent seven years not being believed. SIS never dismisses you, never rushes you, and never tells you it's all in your head.

We help you be heard

Your words, typos and all, turned into one clear summary a doctor can read in minutes. So you're heard the first time, not the fifth.

We keep it yours

No account, no sign-in, nothing sent unless you choose. Your story stays in your pocket, where it belongs.

How it works

Three things. That's it.

Everything else lives quietly in your rooms, there when you need it.

Get ready to be seen

A few questions, about five minutes. What's been happening, when it started, what you most need them to know, and what you want to ask. One clear summary, with your words first.

SIS Get ready: what I want to say and ask, in my own words, with my questions for the doctor.

After my appointment

What was said, what happens next, and whether your questions got answered. So nothing slips through the gap before the next one.

SIS Doctor Summary: choose what goes into the doctor version.

Jot it down

Whatever's happening, while it's fresh. Type it or say it, typos and all. Tap how bad it is, 1 to 10, if you like.

How to use every feature, step by step

For women living with endometriosis, PCOS, adenomyosis, perimenopause or menopause, fibromyalgia, thyroid problems, long COVID, chronic pain, or something no one has put a name to yet.

You shouldn't have to feel well to use a health app.

Or say it right to be heard.

So SIS takes your words, typos and all. And with Premium, one tap when it starts and one tap when it stops, for the days you're too rough for anything else.

Meet Big Sis

For when you'd like a hand.

Big Sis is an optional companion inside SIS. She can help you work out what to ask, explain a word or a letter in plain English, and make sense of your last appointment. Premium also adds Episodes and readings, Follow-up, and two helpers that sort your story and your letters into your record, right on your phone.

She starts from your own words, so you never have to say it twice.

She never diagnoses. And before anything leaves your phone, she shows you exactly what would be shared. You decide, every time.

  • Work out what to ask
  • Explain a word or phrase
  • Understand my last appointment
  • Track what matters to you
How to use Big Sis
Big Sis in SIS: prepare for an appointment, explain a word or letter, understand my last appointment. Nothing leaves your device without you.

Private by design

Yours, and only yours.

Your health story is one of the most personal things you own. So SIS keeps it on your phone, and nowhere else.

  • No account, no sign-inSIS doesn't know who you are, and doesn't need to.
  • Nothing sent without youYour record stays on your device. We never see it.
  • The one exception is your choiceIf you ask Big Sis, you see exactly what goes first, and you can change it. Things like phone numbers and NHS numbers are taken out, and SIS keeps none of it.

The name

Seen. Informed. Supported.
Sisters in Solidarity.

And quietly, it stands for sister: the one who believes you, the one who's been there too.

Why SIS exists

Built from seven years of not being heard.

"I lived with symptoms for seven years after an Essure implant. Waiting lists, wrong departments, told nothing was wrong. I got my life back. A lot of women don't."

When Tamalyn shared her story, she heard the same thing from women with autoimmune conditions, cluster headaches, strokes, lymphoedema and missed cancers: not having a say, and not being in control, when they knew something was wrong.

For the record, these were her symptoms:

  • Severe bloating
  • Headaches, neck and jaw pain
  • Joint pain
  • Shooting leg pains
  • Swelling
  • Stabbing abdominal pain
  • Pelvic ache
  • Dizzy episodes
  • Forgetfulness
  • Fatigue

SIS exists so the next woman doesn't have to start from zero. Because the burden of being believed should not fall on the person who is unwell.

Questions

The things people ask first.

Does SIS give medical advice?

No. SIS is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any medical condition. It doesn't suggest diagnoses and it doesn't replace your doctor. It helps you keep, understand and share your own record. If something is new, severe or getting worse, speak to a doctor, and in an emergency contact your local emergency services.

Where is my data stored?

On your phone. There's no account and SIS does not share your record. The one optional exception is Big Sis: only the details you approve are sent, after things like phone numbers and NHS numbers are taken out, and SIS keeps none of it. The privacy policy sets out the detail.

How much does it cost?

SIS is free to download and use, and the things that keep you safe and get you heard are never behind a paywall. Premium adds Big Sis and some extra tools, with a 7-day free trial.

I'm already using SIS. Will I lose anything?

No. Everything you've recorded is still there. The app just got simpler to find your way around.

How is this different from the NHS App?

The NHS App shows you the system's record of you. SIS holds your own account: what it feels like, when it started, what you were told and what still hasn't been answered. They work alongside each other.

Does it work outside the UK?

Yes. SIS is on the App Store and Google Play, and its safety messages point you to your local emergency number wherever you are.

Is there a version for men?

Yes. BRO is the brother app, built on the same idea: your record belongs to you, it stays on your device, and it should make the ten minutes you get with a doctor count.

Who makes SIS?
